With the rising health concerns brought by COVID-19 and other health issues such as infectious diseases and chronic diseases spreading around, health systems worldwide are challenged to expand their healthcare services and expertise in and out of the hospitals. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to dominate the healthcare facilities, personal consultations and even hospital admissions not related to COVID-19 have become limited.
With the ongoing pandemic situation, the demand for the rising age group keeps on increasing since they are on top of the priority list. Even the costs in any healthcare consultations generally are now obviously on the rise because of the additional health protocols that must be followed. YES, COVID-19 has been an eye opener in the healthy industry. It also served as the greatest turning point in medical history today. If the healthcare system continuously operates the same as before, we will not be able to move forward. It has to level up. The present situation is teaching us to adapt and to be the game-changer ourselves in order to serve the needs of our patients. We need to focus on outcomes and what gives value to our patients.
